A wool or natural-fiber pillow repeats the throw's texture and adds the collected-over-time feel. One good candle in a ceramic vessel you can keep finishes the room. The key word is few: one candle, one or two pillows.
Restraint beats buying
- Clear the clutter; empty surfaces read as luxury.
- Keep a tight neutral palette: creams, taupes, warm greys and natural wood.
- Use the wool, wood, stone, linen and rattan you already own; glossy plastic and loud prints break the look.
