Where it came from
Galentine's Day started as a 2010 episode of the TV comedy Parks and Recreation, in which Leslie Knope spends February 13 celebrating her women friends. Fans took it up, and now it's a real brunch-and-gifts day. In 2027 it lands on a Saturday, which suits a long breakfast.
