Designed to bring African people together through a single phonetic script, Mandombe combines geometry and culture, with its consonants and vowels turning at precise 45 and 90-degree angles. The letters are linked in three-dimensional space, reflecting the cosmography and belief systems of the broader Bantu-Kongo culture. This tee honors the vision of unity behind Mandombe, featuring the phrase "UNKNOWN UNION" across the back shoulder and arms in English, and across the front chest and arms in Mandombe, as a tribute to both the script and the dream of unification.
