The Ruff Lamp is a collaboration with designer Mina Wright, inspired by the elegance of 17th-century ruffled collars. Influenced by the Baroque era, her admiration for the iconic imagery in Velasquez paintings, and Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, Mina sought to emulate an emblematic design element from the 17th-18th centuries: the iconic linen ruff collar. The Ruff Lamp transforms the distinctive shape of the ruff collar into a unique lampshade, beautifully capturing the organic waves and intricate details of the original design.
