Ripple Effect Sweet & Smoky Dark Chocolate Bar

When Atlanta-based brewery Wild Heaven asked if they could smoke our nibs for Gravitational Wave, their Russian Imperial Stout, we were stoked. And it got us thinking. What about creating a limited edition dark chocolate bar that would pair well with it and be a fun collaboration involving other Atlanta businesses—a ripple effect?Inspired by the full-bodied stout full of dark fruit, raspberry & smoke, we went to Pine Street Market, one of our favorite butcheries, and asked them to smoke our nibs on applewood. We asked Atlanta olive oil purveyor, Strippaggio, to help us with some blood orange-infused olive oil. Tossing on freeze-dried raspberries for good measure, the result was Ripple Effect, a sweet and smoky dark chocolate bar with hints of fruit.While this bar was originally intended to be a single-run batch, it quickly became a customer favorite and then a winner of the 2019 Good Food Award. We knew we had to turn this fun collaboration into a regular, year-round flavor and we sure are glad we did! In 2025, it was awarded a second Good Food Award for exceptional flavor, ethical sourcing and sustainable production.
