About the Biscotto Girit Robe — Fit, Fabric & Care ▾
Pure linen in a warm caramel stripe on cream — biscotto, after the colour of the biscuit. Flat-woven rather than looped, so it drapes like a light coat instead of sitting on the shoulders like towelling.
Why 100% linen
It regulates temperature. Breathable through summer, still warm enough after a bath in winter — one robe for every season.
It does not stay damp. Linen releases water faster than any other robe fibre, so it dries on the hook rather than holding moisture.
It improves with washing. Linen softens over years instead of going thin and matted the way terry does.
It packs flat. Folds small enough for hand luggage, which is why it ends up on holiday more often than at home.
Fit
Cut unisex and relaxed, with a generous wrap, two front pockets and a tie belt. Sizes run S/M to XXL — the measurements above are of the garment, not the body, so allow for the overlap when it is wrapped. Size up if you are between sizes or prefer a longer, looser fit.
Care
Cold wash only, hang dry. No bleach and no fabric softener — softener coats linen fibres and reduces both absorbency and drape. Expect a little relaxed creasing; it is characteristic of linen and settles as the robe is worn.
