## Description

The Plum Blossom Cropped Sweatshirt is an homage to Master Dogen, a 12th-century monk who is credited with bringing modern-day Buddhism to Japan. His philosophical writings in Treasury of the True Dharma Eye continue to resonate with us today. This design features a vivid plum blossom on the back, symbolizing the peak of life’s beauty when the flower is in full bloom. Surrounding the blossom are bare branches, representing the sunset of a life cycle. The quote on the front, “Human trees have blossoms, decayed trees have blossoms,” taken from Dogen's work, celebrates the beauty in all stages of life. It reminds us that the transition and journey through each phase—whether flourishing or decaying—is an essential and beautiful part of existence.
